NORTHWEST GAUL. Coriosolites. Circa 100-50 BC. Stater (Billon, 22 mm, 5.91 g, 4 h), 'au nez pointé' type. Celticized male head to right, the hair in in large spiral curls and with an S-shaped ear. Rev. Celticized rider on horseback to right, holding long whip in his right hand; below, boar. DT 2340. LT 6598. Beautifully toned. The obverse struck somewhat off center, otherwise, very fine.
