INDIA, Medieval. Champaran in Bihar. Madan Simha Deva, 1450-1460. AE (Bronze, 17 mm, 4.75 g). GOVINDA CHARANA PRANAVA MADANA in Nagari. Rev. SRI CHAMPAKARANA in Nagari. MNI 205-206. Very rare and unusually attractive. Good very fine.

Champaran was a small Hindu kingdom in the Mithila region, which was surrounded by Islamic sultanates.
