Description
Carausius, Romano-British Emperor, 286-293. Antoninianus (Silvered bronze, 25 mm, 4.00 g, 6 h), 'C' mint (Camulodunum?). IMP C CARAVSIVS P F AVG Radiate, draped and cuirassed bust of Carausius to right. Rev. PAX AVG Pax standing front, head to left, holding olive branch in her right hand and scepter in her left. RIC 475. Beautifully struck on a very broad flan. Nearly extremely fine.
