APULIA. Teate. Circa 325-275 BC. Diobol (Silver, 11 mm, 0.87 g, 6 h). Head of Athena to left, wearing crested Corinthian helmet decorated with a griffin on the bowl. Rev. [TIAT]I Youthful Herakles, nude, standing left, wrestling the Nemean lion; to right, club. HN Italy 697. Vlasto 1418 corr. ( this coin, but misattributed to Tarentum). Rare. Darkly toned and with a fine pedigree. Good very fine.
