SICILY. Syracuse. Agathokles, 317-289 BC. Litra (Bronze, 24 mm, 9.11 g, 9 h). ΣΩTEIPA Draped bust of Artemis Soteira to right, quiver over her shoulder. Rev. BAΣIΛEΩΣ - AΓAΘOKΛEOΣ Winged thunderbolt. CNS II, 142. SNG ANS 708. A wonderful example with a beautiful brown patina. Extremely fine.
