ISLAMIC, Umayyad Caliphate. temp. 'Abd al-Malik ibn Marwan, AH 65-86 / AD 685-705. Pashiz (Bronze, 12 mm, 0.37 g, 12 h), after AH 60 = AD 680. Draped janiform bust, wearing winged crown surmounted by crescent; to left and right, illegible legend. Rev. Sasanian fire altar flanked by two attendants; in outer margin, illegible legend. Gyselen -. Malek, Arab-Sasanian, 1530. Extremely rare. Two edge cracks, otherwise, good fine.
