Caracalla, 198-217. Denarius (Billon, 18 mm, 2.70 g, 6 h), a contemporary imitation. Irregular mint, after 211. ANTONINVS PIVS AVG BRIT Laureate head of Caracalla to right. Rev. DIANA LVCIFERA Diana standing front, head to left, holding torch in both hands. A beautifully toned and interesting imitation. Good very fine.

This lovely imitation combines an obverse of Caracalla with a reverse of Julia Domna (RIC 373A).
