MACEDON. Amphipolis. Augustus, 27 BC-AD 14. Assarion (Bronze, 20 mm, 8.74 g, 12 h). ΚΑΙΣΑΡΟΣ [ΣΕΒΑΣΤΟΥ] Bare head of Augustus to right. Rev. ΑΜΦΙΠΟΛΕΙΤΩΝ Artemis Tauropolos, holding billowing veil, riding on bull to right. RPC I 1629. An attractive example with a beautiful portrait. Very fine.
