SELEUKID KINGS OF SYRIA. Seleukos I Nikator, 312-281 BC. Drachm (Silver, 18 mm, 4.14 g, 1 h), Seleukeia in Pieria, circa 300-281. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion skin headdress. Rev. [B]AΣIΛΕ[ΩΣ] - ΣΕΛEYKOY Zeus seated left on low throne, holding long scepter in his left hand and eagle with closed wings in his right; to left, monogram; below throne, ΚΡ. SC 31. Very rare. Slightly porous and with a scratch on the reverse, otherwise, very fine.
