LUCANIA. Metapontion. Circa 340-330 BC. Didrachm or Nomos (Silver, 22 mm, 7.67 g, 6 h). Bearded head of Leukippos to right, wearing Corinthian helmet; behind, head of a roaring lion to right. Rev. META Barley ear with leaf to left; above leaf, vertical club with head below; below leaf, [AMI]. HN Italy 1575. Johnston Class B, 2.11. SNG ANS 439. Beautifully toned. Slightly rough, otherwise, good very fine.
