Charioteer, holding kentron in his right hand and reins in his left, driving biga of mules to right; above, Nike flying right to crown the mules; in exergue, olive leaf. Rev. MEΣΣA-N-ION Hare springing right; below, olive spray. Caltabiano 374 (D168/R156). SNG ANS 340 ( same dies ). A beautifully toned piece of splendid Classical style. Struck from the usual somewhat worn obverse die and with a filed edge, otherwise, extremely fine.
