CELTIC, Central Europe. Vindelici. 1st century BC. 1/8 Stater (Bronze, 11 mm, 0.54 g), 'Blattkranz mit Vogelkopf' type. [Head of a bird to left within a wreath formed of two branches with five leaves going in opposite directions and with a jeweled closing to right]. Rev. Six pellets within torque with pellet at each end; all within shallow incuse. Dembski -. Flesche -. Karl -, cf. 258 (three pellets, but misdescribed as a quarter stater). LT -. SLM -. Very rare in this denomination. Most of the plating chipped off, especially on the obverse, otherwise, very fine.
