The Order of the Black Eagle
An embroidered breast star with broad, thick rays made of thin,13 mm, silver strip, bordered with twisted silver wire forming loops to sew the star to the habit; yellow silk centre with Prussia’s eagle embroidered with black silk wire, laurel wreath, lightnings and the crown in the appropriate colours; silver wire outer circlet, bearing the motto “SUUM CUIQUE” and a polychrome embroidered wreath below; the reverse with remains of the original protective backing.
An important, early star from the time of the Napoleonic wars, excellent condition and surely worn by a Knight of the Order. II- RR!
