A Miniature of the Order, 30x17 mm, in GOLD, with blue
enameled arms; golden, oval centre medallion bearing the image of St. Michael
raising a fasces of lightnings and holding the shield, with the devil under his feet; round, reverse medallion, bearing the blue enameled motto “VIRTUTI”; upper
loop, made in the form of stylized acanthus leaves, to which the royal bavarian crown is hinged; round,
upper ring and original ribbon.
A beautiful, rare miniature of the type awarded between 1887 and 1918; superb condition. I R!
