A 1st Class badge of the Order, 91x54 mm, in GOLD, with blue enameled arms decorated with lightnings and the golden letters P, F, P, F, flanked by golden
arrowheaded lightnings and pointed beams; golden, oval centre medallion bearing the image of St. Michael raising a fasces of lightnings and holdin the shield,
bearing the blue enameled motto “QUIS UT DEUS”, with the devil under his feet; round, reverse medallion, bearing the blue enameled motto “VIRTUTI”; upper
loop, made in the form of stylized acanthus leaves, to which the royal bavarian crown is hinged; round, upper ring and original ribbon.
A beautiful, very rare badge of the type awarded between 1887 and 1918; excellent condition. I RR!
