White GOLD, cyrillic “B III” monogram, set with diamonds, within golden, green enameled laurel wreath, surmounted by the Bulgarian, royal crown, also set with diamonds to the orb and pendalia; fitted with golden, vertical pin.
A very rare, beautifully made piece, excellent condition; the laurel wreath suggests a gift destined to meritorious officers of the Armed Forces. Dim.: 24,3x14,5 mm.
Note: Boris III (Bulgarian: Борѝс III; 30 January 1894 – 28 August 1943), originally Boris Klemens Robert Maria Pius Ludwig Stanislaus Xaver (Boris Clement Robert Mary Pius Louis Stanislaus Xavier), was Tsar of Bulgaria from 1918 until his until now unclear, sudden death on his return after a difficult meeting with Hitler, possibly poisoned by a German doctor on the Führer’s orders.
