Clain-Stefanelli 2751. Daehn 4927: “Examines the tetrobols of Kos bearing the head of Asklepios / coiled snake, customarily dated to the period 166–88 B.C., based on two previously unpublished hoards. Discusses the historical background of this period. Suggests these coins were struck in the second half of the second century B.C. and may have continued into the opening decades of the first century. ... Explains the sequence of issues and presents a catalogue of the coins.”
