Svoronos on the Aboukir Medallions

Svoronos’s views on the authenticity of the Aboukir medallions changed in the years following their discovery, and he became firmly convinced of their authenticity after having the opportunity to examine in person the examples purchased for the Berlin cabinet on his visit there in 1908. His article here describes the fluctuations in his views and the reasons behind them. The plates are excellent.
