Sinkankas 2196: “In every way an excellent attractive catalog with splendid photographic plates of very many casts taken from the gems and shown in actual size. ... The first part of the catalog lists and describes intaglios, while the second part is on cameos; the arrangement in both is chronological according to culture. Descriptions are detailed: subjects, materials, dimensions, similar gems in other collections or where published in older literature. Cylinder seals, gems set in rings, and pastes are included.”
