The first part of the catalog lists and describes intaglios, while the second part is on cameos; the arrangement in both is chronological according to culture. Descriptions are detailed: subjects, materials, dimensions, similar gems in other collections or where published in older literature. Cylinder seals, gems set in rings, and pastes are included.”
