Genevæ: Apud Samuelem de Tournes, 1686. 4to [23 by 17 cm], modern brown quarter calf with marbled sides, in period style; spine with five raised bands, ruled and lettered in gilt; red morocco spine label, gilt; all page edges speckled red. (8), 559, (1) pages; woodcut printer's device, headpieces, tailpiece and initials; title printed in red and black. Minor spotting and browning. Near fine. The final edition of Labbé's numismatic bibliography, appended here to Tessier's extraordinary bibliography of bibliographies, which expanded Labbé's 1664 work and, for close to two centuries, comprised the best and most voluminous bibliography of bibliographies. Antoine Teissier (1632–1715) left the legal profession in his native Nîmes in 1685 to work as a historian in Berlin, where he also served as a court official.
