The following are either hand-priced or include a printed prices realized list: 1, 3, 12, 21, 24, 43, 144, 152, 155, 172, 180, 264, 272 and 273. A number of other are partially priced. Sale 11 includes a handwritten letter by A.C. Gies. Sale 21 (James B. Wilson) features 28 photographically printed plates. Sale 45 is from the Holden/Norweb Library. A few lack covers or the covers are detached. Sale 90 has a leaf clipped. Generally very good to near fine. A very substantial collection, including 221 of the 292 numbered Tom Elder sales issued over the 36 years of his prolific career--over 75% of them. It is only in recent years that Elder's catalogues have begun to be adequately appreciated. With so many sales to his credit, Elder handled an enormous number of coins throughout the nearly four decades he held auction sales. This significant lot includes a number of notable sales, including Gschwend (1908), Wilson (1908), Mougey (1910), Woodin (1911), Appleton (1913), Miller (1917), Hewitt & Bartlett (1918), McCoy (1918), Wright & Pherson (1918), Davis (1920), Miller (1920), Clare (1920), Skilton (1925) and many others.
