German States Nurnberg Commemorative Medal "First Rhinoceros shown in Germany" 1748 NGC AU55

Erlanger# 1137; White metal., 39 mm; By P. P. Werner; Obv: The first rhinoceros shown in Germany standing to the right, sun above and the inscription "NÜRNBERG" in the exergue. It was captured at the age of 3 in 1741 and shown around Europe as an attraction.
