Panama Medal for the Fiftieth Anniversary of Republic of Panama 1903 - 1953
Gilded Bronze 63.76 g., 50 mm.; "Medalla por el Cincuentenario de la Fundación de la Republica de Panama"; The Medal for the Fiftieth Anniversary of the Founding of the Republic of Panama was instituted in 1953, to commemorate the founding of the Republic of Panama fifty years earlier on November 3, 1903. The figures depicted were all active in the struggle for Panamanian independence and prominent in the government of its early years: Federico Augusto Boyd López (1851-1924), Manuel Espinosa Batista (1857-1919), José Agustín Arango Remon (1841–1909) and Tomás Arias (1856-1932)
