Ex Freeman & Sear MB 3, 10 December 1996, lot 687.While a fair amount of these coins have been in the market and we have handled a great many of them, we have never before had one of this quality. What makes it even more exceptional is the legend "HOC SIGNO VICTOR ERIS", which is the only coin commemorating the victory of Constantine the Great at the battle of the Milvian Bridge, and his subsequent conversion to Christianity.
