Commonwealth 1/2 Crown 1653 XF45 PCGS, KM391.1, S-3215, ESC-431. Sun mintmark. Exhibiting the usual crudeness of production this short-lived Commonwealth series is known for; the planchet has several annealing flaws and is very irregular in shape. However, the die arrangement is of high standard for the type, and its highpoint softness more indicative of a soft strike than wear. An excellent Commonwealth specimen.
