Louis Philippe I Restrike 50 Centimes 1846-A MS61 NGC, Paris mint. 2.90 gm. Plain edge restrike with a thick planchet. Unique and therefore unlisted in any modern reference. There are no original proof examples of this type known: we presume the mega-collector Ferrari active in the last half of the 1800's (the source of mostly gold off-metal strikes of the 19th century) had the Paris make a one-off for him.
