ATTICA. Athens. 2nd-1st centuries BC. AR tetradrachm (29mm, 16.96 gm, 11h). NGC AU 4/5 - 5/5. New Style coinage, ca. 128/7 BC, Axaios, Heli-, and Pythocles, magistrates. Helmeted head of Athena right, wearing triple-crested Attic helmet ornamented with leaping griffin and quadriga / Α-ΘΕ / ΑΧΑ/ΙΟΣ-ΗΛΙ / ΠΥΘΟ/ΚΛΗΣ (magistrates), owl standing on overturned amphora engraved with Ɪ (month); cornucopia with grain symbol in left field, ΣΦ (engraver) below, all within olive wreath.
