ATTICA. Athens. 2nd-1st centuries BC. AR tetradrachm (32mm, 16.77 gm, 11h). NGC AU 5/5 - 4/5. New Style coinage, ca. 134/3 BC, Timarchos, Nikag(oras), and Kleonos, magistrates. Head of Athena right, wearing triple-crested Attic helmet decorated with a vine scroll, Pegasus above undecorated upturned cheek flap, protomes of four horses on visor / Α-ΘΕ / TIM-APXO / NIKAΓ / KΛEΩN (magistrates), owl standing facing on overturned amphora engraved with I (month); anchor and star in left field, amphora, ΣΦ (engraver) below, all within olive wreath.
