Description

George IV gold Proof 2 Pounds 1826 PR64 Deep Cameo PCGS, KM701, S-3799, W&R-228. Near-gem, a popular representative of George IV's second and final Proof set. The term 'mirror fields' is used often when describing Proofs - but rarely is it so applicable as to this offering, whose surfaces offer such reflectivity as to, literally, see oneself in them. In pleasant contrast, the sharp devices are handsomely muted with matte frost. Hairlines are present in the fields as is to be expected from this type, but in all other respects this 2 Pounds fully satisfies.
