A superlative example of this short-lived double taler that proves incredibly elusive in Mint State, only 4 pieces in the NGC census awarded that distinction with just one finer than the present specimen. Indeed, the Redwood example we offered in 2016 ranked 5 points lower and the Moretti collection did not contain a representative at all. Additionally lightly colored in rainbow hues and strikingly fresh, it is sure to be a target of fierce bidding.
