Description

Brandenburg-Ansbach. Alexander gold Ducat 1769-S MS63 PCGS, Schwabach mint, KM286, Fr-363. Struck in commemoration of the acquisition of Bayreuth, displaying the facing busts of Georg Friedrich and Alexander with an open book atop an altar. Golden brilliance washes over the surfaces, highlighting the sharp elements of the pleasing design, beautifully crafted in handsome 18th century style. A small metal flaw is noted tower the upper right of the altar on the reverse.
