AEOLIS. Myrina. Ca. mid-2nd century BC. AR tetradrachm (32mm, 17.01 gm, 12h). NGC MS S 5/5 - 5/5. Ca. 155-145 BC. Laureate head of Apollo right / MYPINAIΩN, Apollo standing right, phiale in right hand, branch upward in left; omphalus and amphora at feet to right; ΠΑ monogram in left field, all in laurel wreath. SNG Copenhagen 223. Sacks Issue 20. Beautiful coppery toning perfectly contrasts the obverse for a dramatic effect. From a Private Japanese Collection.
