ATTICA. Athens. Ca. 2nd-1st centuries BC. AR tetradrachm (30mm, 16.80 gm, 11h). NGC AU S 5/5 - 4/5. New style coinage, ca. 137/6 BC, Miki- and Theophra-, magistrates. Head of Athena right, wearing triple-crested Attic helmet decorated with aphlaston, Pegasus right above upturned cheek flap decorated with a Pegasus, protomes of five horses above visor / A-ΘE / MI/KI / ΘEO/ΦPA, owl standing facing on overturned amphora inscribed with K (10th month); Nike in quadriga right at right, ΣΩ (engraver's initials) below amphora, all within olive wreath.
