SICILY. Syracuse. Deinomenid Tyranny, Gelon I (ca. 480-475 BC). AR tetradrachm (24mm, 17.28 gm, 11h). NGC XF 4/5 - 5/5. Charioteer driving walking quadriga right, kentron in right hand, reins in left; Nike flying right above, crowning horses, dotted border / ΣVRAKΟ-ΣΙΟ-N (N retrograde), head of Arethusa right, wearing pearl taenia and necklace, hair looped up under band; four dolphins swimming clockwise around.
