German Southwest Africa Kassenschein 100 Mark 8.8.1914 Pick 5a PMG Very Fine 30. A rare highest denomination from the World War I Seitz issue. This whole issue is generally unobtainable, with the highest denomination having represented an insane amount of value in the then small German Colony of Südwestafrika. The colony persistently failed to be profitable, and with the onset of The Great War, meant that money supply from the Mutterland was strained. One only has to look at the low serial seen on this example to acknowledge how small this supply of money was. Graded highest on the PMG census. Legitimately rare, and a chance not to be missed.
