French Indochina Banque de l'Indo-Chine, Saigon 100 Dollars = 100 Piastres 9.3.1903 Pick 32 PMG Very Fine 25. At the time of cataloging, this is the only example in the PMG Population Report. This dated example was supplemented by a new type only four months after it was issued. This is the final variety denominated in both Dollars and Piastres, and the final note for French Indo-China with English text. Some rust and stains are seen, both which are typical. The overall eye appeal is simply fantastic considering the size of the note, the era in which it circulated, and the climate of Southeast Asia. Very few have survived to be enjoyed today. French Indo-China notes are well underrated compared to their regional contemporary counterparts. Original embossing can be seen. A spectacular and rare banknote.
