Description

SICULO-PUNIC. Sicily. Ca. 330-305 BC. AR tetradrachm (25mm, 17.1 gm, 12h). ANACS EF 40. Head of Tanit-Kore-Persephone right, hair wreathed with grain ears, wearing triple-pendant earring; four dolphins around / RŠMLQRT (Punic), charioteer driving racing quadriga right; Nike flying left above to crown charioteer. Jenkins, SNR 50 (1971), 60 (O9/R47). A splendid example with amazing portraiture style. One of the finest examples struck from these dies that this cataloger could find.
