Later form gate. 20mm. 1.55gm. +CΛRLVS REX FR, cross pattee, pellet in each angle / ΛVRE | • LI • | ΛNIS (S sideways), city gate with pellet to either side and cross below. A highly coveted "monumental" type from early in Charles' reign, surprisingly little wear observable upon close examination, and an even argent tone giving a pleasant aged appearance to the piece.
