Head of Athena right, hair in three parallel corkscrew curls, wearing triple-crested Corinthian helmet pushed back on head, the bowl decorated with a griffin / AΛEΞANΔPOY / BA-ΣIΛEΩΣ, Nike standing left, wreath upward in right hand, stylis cradled on left arm; ΠΔ monogram in left field under wing. Price 3994 var. (ΠΕ monogram and opposite legend orientation). Extremely rare - only three examples in sales archives including this coin, with the other two having the legend orientation of the standard issue in Price.
