Japan Bank of Japan 200 Yen ND (1927) Pick 37Bs Specimen PMG Extremely Fine 40. A true Specimen with "Block Number" in the block number area, a Mi-hon stamp and punch holes over the seal of the bank and the central denomination. These uniface high denominations were prepared when expecting high inflation, but eventually never released as infighting inside the government resulted in deciding against using banknotes to re-inflate the economy. A wonderful example with all features excellent and enjoyable. From the Yuri Solovey Collection of Japan and Territories
