The bank was chartered in 1891 and continued in operation until 1916 when its charter was cancelled and it was reorganized as a bank of deposit and discount. This ABNCo. printed note has a portrait of General Zaragoza flanked by allegorical vignettes which were probably originally emblematic of America. This note is roulette cancelled CANCELADO. The 50 Peso denomination is very scarce and typically appears in grades between Good and Very Good.
