British Colony. Type I Countermarked 2 Bits ND (1761-1764) VF Details (Test Cut) NGC, KM3 (under Martinique). Displaying heart-shaped punch in the center of a Spain Philip V 2 Reales 1727 (cf. KM297). A very rare colonial countermarked series, this being the first Type I countermarked issue we have seen and been able to locate coming to auction in recent years, toned between slate gray and charcoal and comparatively well-preserved.
