Socialist Republic gold "Kutna Hora" Medallic 2 Dukaten 1972 MS66 NGC, Kremnitz mint, KMX-Unl. The reverse displays the façade of the gothic masterpiece of St. Barbara's Cathedral in the medieval Bohemian town of Kutná Hora, known for its rich veins of silver ore in the 14th and 15th centuries that made the town fabulously wealthy. The obverse features a mintmaster hammering coins from the local silver deposits. This medallic 2 Dukaten issue is extremely scarce and rarely seen outside of the Czech Republic. We are delighted to offer the type for the first time and we anticipate spirited bidding among gold collectors looking to add a Gem unicorn.
