Republic Mint Error - Double Struck / 2nd Strike Off Center 20 Centavos 1949 MS64 NGC, Philadelphia mint, KM13.2. An especially notable and major Cuban mint error, from a collecting base where even minor errors generate substantial interest. Rarely do we encounter Cuban issues with such dramatic double strikes, let alone preserved at an enviable near-Gem preservation. While we've handled off-center strikes within this series with great success, we've yet to encounter an specimen of this vintage and denomination to include a second strike, and with nearly none having been seen on the market in recent decades, can only imagine it's popularity when crossing the auction block.
