A famed emission of Anne's storied reign and one of the most sought-after types across all of British numismatics. Despite the noted repair, likely some very inconspicuous treatment to the obverse fields, the piece remains largely original. Both sides face up especially fine, with laudably bold, crisp devices apparent from even afar. While minimal highpoint rub precludes a coveted Mint State assignment, the appearances are no less appreciable than the handful of specimens we've handled in recent decades and is certain to contribute to an advanced bid when crossing the auction block.
