A glorious type that is especially scarce and collectable above the Choice Mint State condition tier. Though mintages of this series produced at the Strasbourg mint occasionally dipped below the number for this date, it is sufficiently low to create quite a scarce specimen at this near-Gem designation by NGC. The visual appeal is as strong as you would expect at such an impressive technical tier, with semi-Prooflike fields, honeycomb coloration, and seemingly unbounded satin luster.
