Victoria gold 1/2 Sovereign 1886-M MS61 PCGS, Melbourne mint, KM5, S-3863B. As is often the case the reverse demonstrates a commendable paucity of disturbance and admits just a minor nick to rim, boasting a bold luster sweeping the field. The obverse faces up with scattered wisps and a mark below Victoria's chin, mentioned for accuracy. Yet this conditionally very rare Mint State treasure is by far the loveliest example for the date we have had the pleasure of handling, and is presently outranked by only one example at PCGS. Privately purchased from Jaggard's in Sydney, Australia; accompanied by their flip. Ex. Reserve Bank of Australia From the James D.
