Q. Pomponius Musa (ca. 66 or 56 BC). AR/AE fourrée denarius (18mm, 2.72 gm, 8h). NGC XF 5/5 - 2/5, core visible, edge cut. Ancient forgery of denarius from Rome. Laureate head of Apollo right, hair pulled into chignon at back of head; two flutes in saltire behind / MVSA / Q•POMPONI, Euterpe, the Muse of Lyric Poetry, standing right, right arm and left elbow resting on a column to right, two flutes in outstretched right hand, left hand raised to chin.
