M. Baebius Q.f. Tampilus (ca. 137 BC). AR denarius (17mm, 3.81 gm, 4h). NGC XF 4/5 - 1/5, plugged, bent, edge marks. Rome. TAMPIL, head of Roma left, wearing pendant earring, beaded necklace, and winged helmet decorated with griffin crest; X (mark of value) below chin / M•BAEBI•Q•F, Apollo driving quadriga galloping right, with branch in right hand, bow and arrow and reins in left; ROMA below horses.
