EASTERN EUROPE. Lower Danube. Uncertain tribe. Ca. 2nd-1st centuries BC. AR tetradrachm (31mm, 12h). NGC Fine, wrinkled. Imitative issue of Thasos. Head of Dionysus right, crowned with ivy, wearing mitra (cloth headband) / ΗΡΑΚΛΕΟΥΣ / ΣΩΤΗΡΟΣ / ΘΑΣΙΩΝ, Heracles, standing facing, head left, nude, resting right hand on grounded club, left arm draped with lion skin; HΔTP monogram in left inner field.
